Neither the San Diego Padres nor Eric Hosmer tend to be popular plays when they're at home at Petco Park, and they don't have the best matchup against Julio Teheran (3.78 implied team total).

But you can never rule out using lefties against Teheran as they have always been his Kryptonite. Over his career, Teheran has posted a 16.9% strikeout rate, 9.6% walk rate, and .340 wOBA against them.

Hosmer may not be the power hitter we want him to be because of his frustratingly high ground-ball rate (57.2%), but we can still give him a chance with limited options on a short slate. Dating back to last season, Hosmer has produced a .395 wOBA and .187 ISO against right-handed pitching, and you might consider pairing him with leadoff man Travis Jankowski as a mini-stack.
