The New York Yankees boast Tuesday's highest implied total with a big 5.25 clip in their matchup with southpaw Cole Hamels and the Texas Rangers.

Hamels' 3.89 SIERA shows a big bounce-back from a 2017 campaign that saw him struggle to the tune of a 4.90 SIERA. There's still plenty of room for concern about the 34-year-old, though, as he is allowing a 43.7% hard-hit rate that is on pace to be over a career-worst by a large margin, while his 14.8% soft-hit rate is on pace to be the second-worst of his career.

Southpaws just can't afford to be susceptible to hard contact against Giancarlo Stanton. Among the 188 hitters with at least 100 batted balls against southpaws over the last two seasons, Stanton has notched the highest average exit velocity. That has translated to an absolutely ridiculous .507 wOBA and .477 isolated slugging (ISO) in the split in that span, and he's positioned to do some serious damage in this matchup.
