Carlos Santana, 1B, Philadelphia Phillies

FanDuel Price: $3,000

The results haven't been there for Carlos Santana in 2018, producing a ho-hum .277 wOBA and .129 ISO. The Philadelphia Phillies have taken notice, dropping him from second to fifth in the batting order.

But a quick look at his peripherals suggests there might not be much to worry about. Santana is still showing fine plate discipline in a 16.5% strikeout rate and 17.3% walk rate, and an unlucky .173 BABIP looks to be much to blame for his woes. In fact, his expected weighted on-base average on Statcast shows a strong .390 mark, and he's also sporting a 38.6% hard-hit rate.

The Phillies won't benefit from the best hitting venue in Marlins Park, but opposing pitching Jose Urena isn't anyone to be afraid of. Urena has been weak against lefties throughout his career, allowing a .342 wOBA with a 10.6% strikeout rate and 9.1% walk rate. On the other hand, the switch-hitting Santana owns a .375 wOBA and .252 ISO against righties over the last couple seasons. This is a good spot to take advantage of Santana's low price and use him as a one-off to fill out a tournament lineup.
