Miguel Cabrera, 1B, Detroit Tigers

FanDuel Price: $3,900

The Detroit Tigers haven't really been an appealing offense for DFS this year, but they have a pristine matchup against Chris Tillman tongiht. To be frank, Tillman has been one of the worst starters in all of baseball this year, posting a 6.34 SIERA, 8.9% strikeout rate, and 12.2% walk rate. He's also allowing a 41.4% hard-hit rate and absurd .493 wOBA.

Is he trying to turn opposing hitters into peak Barry Bonds?

Speaking of Hall of Fame hitters, Miguel Cabrera hasn't produced the same power as years past, but he's still holding his own in 2018. Cabrera owns a .390 wOBA and .175 isolated power (ISO), which is supported by a 48.5% hard-hit rate. He's shown a rather high average exit velocity thus far, so perhaps the power will come around. The veteran has also demonstrated improved plate discipline compared to last year, dropped his strikeout rate to 16.1%, while maintaining a 12.9% walk rate. A 59.1% ground-ball rate is the one blemish, but that may not be as much a concern against such a weak opponent.

Given the dream spot, it's difficult to say where ownership will fall on the Tigers this evening, but be sure to keep Cabrera in mind for tournaments.
