Nolan Arenado, 3B, Colorado Rockies

Price: $5,100

The Colorado Rockies' 6.30 implied total is more than one run higher than any other team's on Tuesday. Playing at home at Coors Field is always going to give their offense a boost, and they also boast a great matchup against San Diego Padres southpaw Eric Lauer.

Lauer will be making his major league debut today, and while his three career Triple-A starts saw him post a solid 3.00 ERA, that was accompanied by a more worrying 4.27 xFIP. He also managed only a 3.90 xFIP in 10 Double-A starts in 2017. That's not a terrible mark, but when you factor in the level of competition he was up against, it doesn't exactly make him a promising arm at the major league level for 2018. A left-hander also can't ask for a much worse scenario than making their big league debut against Nolan Arenado at Coors.

Arenado absolutely destroying left-handed pitching last season. Even if we just look at his numbers against lefties on the road (taking away the advantage Coors provides), 2017 saw him post a massive .520 wOBA and .395 isolated slugging (ISO). If we include his work at home, he turned a 37.6% hard-hit and 45.1% fly-ball rate into a .534 wOBA and .420 ISO.
