Joey Gallo, OF, Texas Rangers

FanDuel Price: $2,600

The Texas Rangers get Andrew Triggs on Monday night, and as evidenced by a a ho-hum 4.15 implied team total, generally speaking, Triggs is not the most appealing pitcher to attack with a career 50.3% ground-ball rate and 26.8% hard-hit rate. He also has a career 10.3% swinging-strike rate, suggesting some strikeout potential, as well.

But the fact remains that Triggs managed only a 17.7% strikeout rate last year, which makes Joey Gallo an intriguing play against him. Gallo's major weakness is his sky-high punchouts, so facing a guy with a potentially below-average strikeout rate mitigates some of that risk. Triggs' impressive batted-ball numbers are also less pronounced against lefties, and it's not like Gallo can't provide his own power with a 46.1% hard-hit rate and 53.5% fly-ball rate against right-handed pitching in his career.

Add in his low salary and place near the top of the Texas batting order, and you have a pretty good deal for a guy with double-homer upside.
