Marwin Gonzalez, 1B, Houston Astros

Houston bats are pretty cheap across the board tonight, especially considering the fact that the Astros boast the day's highest implied total (5.08) in a great matchup against the Rangers and righty Doug Fister.

The 34-year-old Fister is coming off a 2017 campaign that saw him post a 4.44 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA), giving him marks of 4.47, 4.97 and 4.44 over his last three seasons. He looked particularly bad against left-handed hitters, getting thrashed to the tune of a .365 wOBA and 4.82 xFIP on a 39.6% hard-hit rate.

The switch-hitting Marwin Gonzalez posted a career-best .382 wOBA in 2017, and his best work came against righties, notching a .397 wOBA and .230 isolated slugging (ISO) on a 35.1% hard-hit rate. A guy who hit righties that well has no business being this cheap against Fister.
