Batting leadoff for a New York Yankees team that has the third-highest implied total on tonight's main slate (4.61) is a good spot for Brett Gardner.

Toronto Blue Jays righty Aaron Sanchez is not likely to repeat the awful 5.62 SIERA he posted in his injury-plagued 2017 season, but he also posted marks north of 4.00 in each of his previous two seasons. Unless he shows some significant improvement this year, he's not someone who should scare you much for fantasy purposes.

Gardner's value comes as much from hitting leadoff for what should be one of the day's higher-scoring offenses as it does from his abilities, but the .359 wOBA he posted against righties last year is a nice boost.
