Tyler Skaggs has seen his SIERA climb in each of his last two seasons, posting a 4.36 in 2016 and a 4.44 over 16 games in 2017. The southpaw flashed some decent strikeout potential, but he also allowed a .345 wOBA and 4.51 xFIP on a 35.2% hard-hit rate against right-handed hitters.

Stephen Piscotty made only 79 plate appearances against lefties in 2017 (not a particularly big sample), but expanding our view to the 315 over his young career (dating back to 2015), he has a 12.7% walk rate and a very solid .379 wOBA and .205 ISO.

Priced only $100 above the minimum while likely batting in the middle of the order, Piscotty is a good bet to return some serious value.
