In pretty stark contrast to what we've been dealing with recently, this slate does not offer a ton of offensive promise. The Miami Marlins' 4.84 implied total is Thursday's highest as they take on the Atlanta Braves and left-hander Sean Newcomb.

Newcomb has only managed a 4.87 SIERA through his first 15 major league games, and he has really struggled with right-handed bats (5.09 xFIP).

Giancarlo Stanton can punish much stronger pitchers than Newcomb, and he is on track to post single-season career highs in both wOBA (.417) and ISO (.366) through 137 games. He has been especially good against southpaws, with his wOBA jumping to .473 and his ISO to .453 off the strength of a 41.9% hard-hit rate.
