It feels almost subversive to write about a pitcher other than Clayton Kershaw as the day's stud when he's also taking the mound, but Corey Kluber is really hard to ignore tonight.

He ranks third among qualifying pitchers in strikeout rate (34.3%), second in SIERA (2.70), and first in swinging-strike rate (15.8%), along with drawing one of the best matchups you could ask for tonight by taking on the Chicago White Sox.

Just looking at active rosters, the White Sox rank 24th in wRC+ (88) against right-handed pitching, while also striking out at the fourth-highest rate in the majors (24.1%).

Chicago's 2.92 implied total is the second-lowest mark on the slate, while the Cleveland Indians (-262 moneyline) are the day's second-biggest favorites.
