Paul DeJong, SS, St. Louis Cardinals

Paul DeJong has given the St. Louis Cardinals a nice boost this season, slugging 20 long balls in just 297 plate appearances.

However, even though the Cardinals have a 4.73 implied team total, DeJong isn't in an ideal spot against Luis Perdomo. Although Perdomo has a tough time with lefties, he handles right-handed hitting well, posting a 68.1% ground-ball rate and 21.7% strikeout rate.

Also, for all his success, DeJong hasn't shown the best plate discipline, with a 30.3% strikeout rate and 3.7% walk rate. His expected weighted on-base average (xwOBA) is lower than you might expect (.322), suggesting his results may be a bit inflated, and he could eventually regress.
