Adam Jones, OF, Baltimore Orioles

Given Cole Hamels' recent improved play, the Baltimore Orioles could have issues against him, but he's still allowing a lot of hard contact, which keeps them on the board. The Orioles have a robust 5.03 implied team total.

Still, you can probably leave Adam Jones off to the side, who, despite homering last night, doesn't have very exciting numbers. In 2017, he has just a 28.9% hard-hit rate and .317 wOBA, and his .305 xwOBA says that's about what he's deserved.

While you would think a matchup against a lefty should give him a boost, Jones has been curiously mediocre against them for some time now. Since the beginning of 2015, he's mustered a 28.5% hard-hit rate and .286 wOBA. Even across his whole career, the wOBA only creeps up to .316.

With a price in no man's land and a potentially troublesome opponent, Jones doesn't look like a strong candidate for back-to-back big performances.
