Most expected Scooter Gennett's time in the sun to end rather quickly following his shocking four-homer performance at the start of June. And yet, all he's done since then is maintain a 44.0% hard-hit rate and .405 wOBA. He's also ascended to the two spot in the Cincinnati Reds' lineup.

Although the Reds have a 5.00 implied team total, the trouble for Gennett is he faces off with righty Jimmy Nelson, who has displayed some unusual reverse-splits with an absurd 30.9% strikeout rate against southpaws this season. There's probably some small sample size noise going on here, but given how well Nelson has pitched lately, even considering regression, it's safe to say he's handling lefties just fine.

Furthermore, Gennett is no longer cheap, getting an inevitable price hike the past couple days.
