Andrew McCutchen, OF, Pittsburgh Pirates

FanDuel Price: $3,900

Due to the limited number of plate appearances a batter gets in a given baseball game, batting order is crucial when determining who to use in your lineup. Even getting just one extra plate appearance can be the difference between a good fantasy performance and a great one.

Despite his recent hot play, this makes it tough to roster Andrew McCutchen at his hefty price, considering he bats sixth these days. McCutchen has a .497 wOBA and just a 12.3% strikeout rate in the month of June, but it's unlikely you'll find any other hitter priced as high who bats this low in the order.

Additionally, while Adam Wainwright has struggled in 2017, he's still managed to limit hard contact to 27.8% against righties, and keep the ball on the ground 49.2% of the time. The Pittsburgh Pirates have a 4.37 implied team total that rates rather low on a full slate.

McCutchen has proven this month he has a lot left in the tank, but the price is simply too steep.
