Perez finished 2016 with a career-worst 5.11 SIERA, and has actually managed to do worse through seven starts in 2017, with a 5.23 mark. Right-handed hitters have tagged him for a .338 wOBA on a 36.5% hard-hit rate this year, leaving him with a 5.31 xFIP after posting an already-poor 4.91 last year.

Wil Myers has opened 2017 with a career-high .376 wOBA, and he has absolutely destroyed left-handed pitching with a 58.3% hard-hit rate and only an 8.3% soft-hit rate.
