Kendrys Morales, 1B, Toronto Blue Jays

The 1-7 Toronto Blue Jays have had a rough go of it so far, scoring a league-low 23 runs.

They have a mediocre matchup against Kevin Gausman, who had a solid 23% strikeout rate and 3.81 SIERA last season.

What's interesting about the right-handed Gausman, though, is he's had more success striking out lefties compared to same-sided batters. Last year, he struck out 23.9% of southpaws he faced, compared to 22.2% on the right side.

That won't help the switch-hitting Kendrys Morales, who struck out 19.4% of the time and had just a 93 wRC+ against righties last season.

Particularly on a day when you can use Joey Votto ($3,700) against Jimmy Nelson, you can ignore Morales.
