Wei-Yin Chen, SP, Miami Marlins

As I said from the outset, Madison Bumgarner is the most expensive pitcher on the slate. However, it's a bit odd to find Wei-Yin Chen as one of the most expensive hurlers after that -- although the opposing New York Mets only have a 3.72 implied team total.

Chen had a down year in 2016, putting together a career-worst 4.94 ERA, but his 4.14 SIERA was along his career levels. His fly-ball tendencies play well at home in Miami, which explains the low total for his opposition. Still, his strikeout rate was just 19.2% last season, so he's unlikely to break out for a big fantasy score.

For the exact same price, you can get Jon Gray, who is playing in the pitcher-friendly confines of AT&T Park, but had a far more impressive 26.0% strikeout rate last year.
