Yoenis Cespedes, OF, New York Mets

Price: $4,100

The tear that Yoenis Cespedes has been on over his last couple games is an obvious eye-catcher, but there is plenty to love about him tonight even if he didn't collect seven RBI over his past two games.

He has been making absurd contact to start the year, with a massive 55.6% hard-hit rate to go with a 59.3% fly-ball rate and just a 11.5% soft-hit rate. Those numbers aren't sustainable for the long haul, but he is coming off a 2016 campaign that saw him post a 39.3% hard-hit and 41.4% fly-ball rate. So, his posting elite numbers in those areas is no real surprise.

His batted-ball numbers were especially absurd in his 105 plate appearances against southpaws last year, which included a 47.8% hard-hit rate, .441 wOBA and .282 ISO.

His matchup tonight against Wei-Yin Chen isn't quite a gimme, but Chen is coming off back-to-back seasons with a SIERA above 3.94. Right-handed sticks have also largely given the lefty a hard time -- he's posted a 4.22 xFIP against them and has surrendered a 31.1% hard-hit rate. That also includes an especially rough 4.38 xFIP and 35.6% hard-hit rate last season.
