Francisco Liriano will draw the start for the Toronto Blue Jays. As he showed in his first start this season, his control issues are still very much a real thing. He finished 2016 with a 4.38 SIERA and 11.6% walk rate while allowing 1.44 home runs per nine and a career-worst 34.8% hard-hit rate.

Manny Machado is not someone southpaws can afford to be anything short of excellent against -- the slugger is coming off a 2016 season that saw him slash .329/.393/.526 with a .388 wOBA and a 37.0% hard-hit rate against left-handed pitching.
