Midfielder - Jonjo Shelvey, Newcastle ($6,000)

Shelvey is in line to get his second consecutive start after falling out of favor at Newcastle. He was handed the captain's armband and impressed enough against Brighton to face his former team on Saturday. Manager Rafa Benitez noted that Shelvey may have been out of game shape, but his passing was concise as he played in an offensive role.

With limited minutes, Shelvey's numbers are not all that impressive. He averages close to three defensive actions, 70% passing, and over one shot and key pass per match. He was once a six-goal scorer in the Premier League when he played for Swansea in the 2013-14 season.

There are a couple narratives at play for Shelvey. Liverpool are his former team and he would love to perform well against them, especially given that they are chasing a title. Liverpool also lost their Champions League match on Wednesday and may be a bit more fatigued than usual at this time of the season.

The other narrative is that Shelvey's career is in limbo right now, and this may be his chance to impress another team or show that he deserves a bigger role with Newcastle. Regardless, his time to impress is running out.
