Most of the time, the value for defenders on Newcastle comes from their high number of defensive opportunities. It is rare that Newcastle are in a position to control a match, allowing their defenders to consistently move forward, but that might be the case against Huddersfield this weekend.

Yedlin has had a sneaky decent season from a DFS perspective. He has featured heavily for Newcastle and has double-digit FanDuel points in six of his last eight matches, a span which includes ties against Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham, Manchester City, and Liverpool. While he was busy defensively during that eight-match stretch, notching 19 tackles, he was also involved in the final third despite the quality of opposition Newcastle faced. During those eight matches, he created 10 chances, six of which came against elite sides.

The last time Newcastle faced an opponent on the same level as Huddersfield, they destroyed Cardiff by three goals at home. Huddersfield have been miserable defensively this season -- especially so on the road, where they have conceded 26 goals in 12 matches. Newcastle have been equally as miserable at scoring goals at home, however, until their last two home matches, when they scored three against Cardiff and two against Manchester City to claim back-to-back victories.

Yedlin could see a season-high in opportunities in the final third this weekend and represents a slightly unique way to gain exposure to the largest favorite on the slate.
