Impact Transfers

This is likely to be the first week where the majority of transfers into the Premier League could make an impact. There was a flurry of activity on deadline day and a few of those players could feature prominently on this slate. Generally players are picked up in January with the intention to help the team down the stretch.

Michy Batshuayi tallied an assist in his debut with Crystal Palace. He turned heads in just eight minutes of work and figures to be starting very shortly for Palace. He is a marquee signing for a team like Crystal Palace, which has scored only 26 goals. When he moved to Dortmund last season, Batshuayi had seven goals in just 10 league games.

Leandro Bacuna is likely to step into the starting right back role for Cardiff City. At the time of writing FanDuel had not released pricing information for the Saturday slate, but there is a chance the Bacuna will be one of the lowest-priced midfielders. Listing him as a midfielder does hurt his value.

Peter Crouch also has a chance to reemerge onto the fantasy Premier League scene, although it seems like his appearances will come as a substitute with Burnley. Take a look at the starting lineups this weekend and make a note about how the newcomers are being used. This will be a sign of managers' plans down the stretch.
