Gerard Deulofeu, Forward, Watford

Salary: $8,500

The number of high-priced options available at forward and midfield may force ownership down slightly on players like Deulofeu in the mid-priced tier. Even if that doesn't happen, Deulofeu's teammate, Troy Deeney ($9,000), is only $500 more than him and likely to carry more ownership just one game removed from a 62.9 FanDuel point performance against Bournemouth.

Deulofeu has been hit or miss this season, to say the least. Since settling in as a full-time starter in the middle of December, he has FanDuel point performances of 35.6, 34.2. 8.6, 15, 1.3, and 6. That volatility is risky, but it should be embraced for tournaments since it means he will likely carry less ownership. One thing that is consistent about Deulofeu is his willingness to go for goal, over that six-game span he has taken eleven shots, including seven in his last three matches.

That bodes well against a Burnley side that allows 20.5 shots per game on the road, the most in the Premier League. Burnley has also conceded an average of two goals per match over their 11 away matches, tied for the third most in the Premier League. With the spotlight on Manchester United and Liverpool, Watford may slide under-the-radar as the third-largest favorite on the slate. With 12 goals scored in their last 6 matches, including 5 in their last 2, Watford deserve serious consideration this weekend, and Deulofeu should be firmly in play for tournaments.
