Ben Mee, Defender, Burnley

Salary: $7,000

Mee is tied with three other players as the second-highest priced defender on the slate -- although the highest-priced defender, Shane Duffy, is suspended -- and he has averaged 16.49 FanDuel points this season. After scoring more than 20 FanDuel points in three straight matches, Mee has averaged just 13.55 FanDuel points over his last two matches.

The Seagulls have a 72.2% chance of scoring at least one goal, a feat they have accomplished in four straight road matches. Both clubs are poor at maintaining possession as the Clarets average 43% of the possession on their home pitch while the Seagulls maintain 43.3% of the possession away from Falmer Stadium.

Mee has provided just two assists this season as the majority of his FanDuel points come from defensive actions, and the Seagulls do not allow a large number of defensive statistics. They have allowed the ninth-fewest interceptions (165), fifth-fewest tackles (232), fewest clearances (216) and fewest blocked shots (27) to all positions this season.

For DFS players who are looking to spend up at defender, Marcos Alonso ($7,000) should see an uptick in defensive opportunities versus City while still being a part of the Blues' attack -- albeit in a bad matchup.
