3 NHL FanDuel Value Plays to Target on Friday 4/22/22

Spending lower in any daily fantasy lineup is a way to incorporate some diversity into your roster. In NHL DFS, there is typically more value in this strategy but also a good deal of risk, too. The right low-salary plays can give you good production while affording you more chances to roster high-salary studs.

Friday night has four games on the schedule. Let's see what gems can be found.

Derek Ryan, Center, Edmonton Oilers

FanDuel Salary: $3,500

The Edmonton Oilers' bottom-six center is only averaging about 11 minutes per night, but Derek Ryan has a goal and an assist in his last two games.

The low floor is something else but again taking risks is what it is about on Friday, Ryan has the speed to take advantage of any Colorado mistakes.

It is weird to stray too far away here given some of the awful options from the value bin. Ryan has five shots and five blocked shots in his last seven games.

Johan Larsson is a decent enough option at just $3,600. That is a pretty good alternative if desperate enough.

Ryan Donato, Wing, Seattle Kraken

FanDuel Salary: $3,800

Maybe the Seattle Kraken should give Ryan Donato more of a shot more often.

Donato has two goals and four assists in his last nine games but the winger's salary has hovered around $3,800.

Seattle fired up in a big way on Wednesday with three goals during the first period. Donato had a helper, three shots, and five scoring chances all in the first half of the game.

This forward could give the Minnesota Wild some problems on Friday considering Minnesota is unrested.

Jake Bean, Defenseman, Columbus Blue Jackets

FanDuel Salary: $3,600

Yes, we found a gem in Columbus of all places.

So, Jake Bean suddenly has found the offense. Bean has two goals and an assist while seeing more than 22 minutes of ice time game over the past two starts.

The defender expects to see top-four ice time for the foreseeable future. Playing in all situations gave the young blueliner a huge boost. He has six shots on goal, eight scoring chances, and two blocked shots.

Columbus plays Ottawa in what expects to be a wild game much like the Montreal and Philadelphia game from Thursday evening.
