NHL Daily Fantasy Helper: Friday 4/20/18

With nine points through four games, Sidney Crosby has proven that he's worth building your lineups around. Who else should you target on tonight's slate?

A good chunk of you probably already play daily fantasy football, and I'd be willing to bet a significant portion have also tried out daily fantasy basketball and baseball. But hockey? Hockey?

It's time to give it a try over on FanDuel, because it's a ton of fun. And our analysis and projections can help you win.

To help, take a look at some goalies, high-priced skaters, and lower-priced players to target for today's slate.

Goalie to Target

Pekka Rinne ($8,800): With a -300 money line, the Nashville Predators lead all teams as the biggest favorites on the board tonight. Our models agree, projecting Rinne for the highest chance at a win and by far the best chance at a shutout among all goalies. And with his price still down $400 from the beginning of this series, take advantage of his value as the Predators look to wrap up this series back at home.

High-Priced Skaters

Sidney Crosby ($9,300): The Pittsburgh Penguins' high implied total of 3.62 goals tonight trails only the Predators, lining their captain up for another big game in their series against the Flyers. Outside of Game 2, Crosby has tallied multiple points in three of four, topping 40.0 FanDuel points in two of those. With this series being so lopsided, now is not the time to fade Crosby.

Kris Letang ($6,200): Lining up behind Crosby on the first unit at both even strength and on the power play, Letang has already managed four points of his own in the first round. He tallied three shots in each of Pittsburgh's home games and recorded at least 16.0 FanDuel points in every game outside of Game 2. Not only does he provide standalone value, but Letang also makes for an attractive stacking option alongside Crosby in your lineups.

Value Skaters

Ryan Ellis ($4,900): He has not exactly lit up the stat sheet in this series, but Ellis has been solid, turning in five shots over the first two games and tallying two assists in the third. Ellis also leads all Predators' skaters with an average of 25.5 minutes of ice time per game to this point of the playoffs, so the opportunity for a big game is clearly there. And his lack of production has led to his price falling by $300 since the beginning of the series, making Ellis an attractive value option.

Kyle Connor ($5,300): After finishing the regular season with five points over his final three games, Connor has been relatively quiet this series. But he finally notched his first point of the playoffs in Game 4, while tallying multiple shots for the fourth time in this series to boot. Fortunately, getting back on the score sheet did not raise Connor's price tag, which keeps him as a very affordable option for the Winnipeg Jets, who have the third-highest implied total (3.24 goals) on the board tonight.
