NHL Daily Fantasy Helper: Wednesday 2/22/17

The Washington Capitals are the biggest favorite of the night for their clash with the Philadelphia Flyers, making Alex Ovechkin a top play. Who else should be on your radar for NHL DFS?

A good chunk of you probably already play daily fantasy football, and I'd be willing to bet a significant portion have also tried out daily fantasy basketball and baseball. But hockey? Hockey?

It's time to give it a try over on FanDuel.com because it's a ton of fun. And our analysis and projections can help you win.

To help, take a look at some goalies, high-priced skaters, and lower-priced players to target for today's slate.

Goalies to Target

Braden Holtby (FanDuel Price: $9,400): The highest-priced goalie on Wednesday's short three-game slate, Holtby is worth paying up for today. The Washington Capitals aren't massive favorites (-161 moneyline), but that does make them the biggest favorites of the day. Our projections favor them by even more than Vegas does, and we give Holtby a 72% chance of scoring a win. He also has some serious upside, taking on a Philadelphia Flyers team that ranks third in the league in Corsi For per game. That does mean there's some risk and potential downside for Holtby tonight, but he remains the safest option among tonight's goalies while also offering the most upside.
