Players to Stack: Claude Giroux, Jakub Voracek, and Shayne Gostisbehere

The Philadelphia Flyers have cooled off after their 10-game winning streak by losing three of their last four. They get a tough matchup tonight against one of the best defensive teams in the league in the St. Louis Blues (50.5 Corsi Against per 60). However, the Flyers' top line may go overlooked in a matchup in which they could have success.

Backup Carter Hutton will get the nod on home ice against an explosive Flyers offense. In his last four starts, Hutton has allowed at least three goals and owns only a 76% high danger save percentage on the season. The Flyers average 2.9 goals per game, and with a player as dangerous as Vladimir Tarasenko on the other bench, the top line for the Flyers will need to provide the scoring because Ken Hitchkoch will likely match up Tarasenko on the Flyers second through fourth lines when possible.

Speaking of matchups, Giroux's line will be facing Patrik Berglund's line, which has not been a shut-down unit (58 Corsi Against per 60). We know this line can put together multi-point games in any matchup, and they should see some opportunities on the power plays as the Blues commit 3.4 penalties per game. In a game where their ownership should be depressed, on a five-game slate, a Flyers' power play stack is more than viable.
