Panthers' Cam Newton is ready to play against 49ers
Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton (questionable, shoulder) will play in Sunday's Week 1 game against the 49ers according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
There wasn't much doubt on Newton's Week 1 status, and he appears good to go on Sunday in San Francisco. Second round rookie wide receiver Curtis Samuel is also ready to play after a full week of practice.
numberFire's algorithms project Newton for 239.9 passing yards with 1.50 touchdowns and 0.72 interceptions while adding 27.8 rushing yards and 0.32 touchdowns on the ground for 19.4 FanDuel points. He carries a salary of $7,900 in Week 1.
