Mike Tolbert now Buffalo's backup running back
Buffalo Bills running back Mike Tolbert is now the team's number two running back after the release of Jonathan Williams.
The 32-year-old Tolbert enters the season as LeSean McCoy's backup as the Bills have little depth at tailback following the surprising release of Williams. Tolbert has accumulated only 134 carries the last 3 seasons with the Carolina Panthers, meaning the Bills are likely to lean heavily on McCoy in 2017.
Our models projected Tolbert for only 8.8 carries and 31.5 yards this season, but with the promotion on the depth chart, he undoubtedly will see his role grow this season.
