Jaguars make Leonard Fournette the fourth overall pick
The Jacksonville Jaguars selected LSU Tigers running back Leonard Fournette with the fourth overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.
Fournette immediately steps in as the likely starter in the backfield for the Jaguars. The Tigers standout back is a big bruising running back built to carry the load for an NFL team, and with Chris Ivory and T.J. Yeldon not providing much last season, Fournette was an obvious choice.
Fournette played only seven games in 2016 as he recovered from an ankle injury. He still managed to rush for 843 yards on 129 attempts with 8 touchdowns. He owns a career rushing average of 6.2 yards per carry and caught 41 passes over three seasons.
