Anquan Boldin will return for another season
Free agent wide receiver Anquan Boldin will return for his 15th season, reports ESPN's Jim Trotter.
Boldin was with the Detroit Lions last season, but Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press has "heard" the veteran receiver would prefer to remain close to his Florida home. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers may want to give Boldin a look as a red-zone target opposite Mike Evans. He would likely compete with Adam Humphries as the the third receiver behind Evans and DeSean Jackson.
Now 36, Boldin remained effective in 2016, catching 67 passes for 584 yards and eight touchdowns. His 0.70 Reception Net Expected Points per target was 30th-best among the 68 receivers with at least 75 targets in 2016.
