Raiders not expected to bring back Latavius Murray
The Oakland Raiders are expected to move on from free agent running back Latavius Murray, according to Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle.
Murray has stated his interest in returning, but the Raiders never viewed him as a long-term solution at running back, going after DeMarco Murray and Matt Forte each of the past two offseasons, as well as considering drafting Ezekiel Elliott last year. It'll be interesting to see where Murray lands, but Oakland will likely continue with a committee approach in the backfield, featuring Jalen Richard and DeAndre Washington, as well as whoever is brought in during the offseason.
Murray ranked 12th in Rushing Net Expected Points per attempt this past season, among the 42 running backs with at least 100 rushing attempts in 2016.
