Colts' Vontae Davis (ankle) returns to practice
Indianapolis Colts defensive back Vontae Davis (ankle) returned to practice on Wednesday.
This doesn't necessarily mean Davis will be able to play in Week 3, and reports were initially that he would miss "at least" the first month of the regular season due to ligament damage in his ankle, but it is an encouraging sign for a struggling Colts secondary.
It's only two weeks into the season, but the Colts currently rank 28th in schedule-adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points per play, and we project them to allow 284 yards and 1.92 touchdowns through the air to the San Diego Chargers in Week 3.
