Raiders will stick with committee approach in backfield
Oakland Raiders head coach Jack Del Rio confirmed the team will continue to use a backfield rotation.
"All of our running backs are pretty good," Del Rio said. "We were running the ball well, and they’re all going to play." Latavius Murray led the Raiders' committee with 14 touches Week 2, but he lost 18 total to the rest of his backfield mates. Jalen Richard had eight, DeAndre Washington seven and Jamize Olawale finished with three. Murray's upside will be capped, but he remains a pretty solid RB2 with how well Oakland has moved the ball on the ground.
Murray finished with 101 total yards and a touchdown against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, leading the entire contest with 3.86 Rushing Net Expected Points.
