Buccaneers expect Leonard Fournette (hamstring) back this week
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette (hamstring) is expected to be activated from injured reserve ahead of Sunday's Wild Card matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles, per head coach Bruce Arians.
Fournette missed the final three weeks of the regular season after injuring his hamstring in Week 15. He is expected to resume his role as a true three-down workhorse as the Buccaneers attempt to repeat as Super Bowl champions. In Week 6 agains the Eagles, Fournette rushed 22 times for 81 yards and 2 touchdowns, and he caught 6 passes (6 targets) for another 46 yards. Ke'Shawn Vaughn out-carried Le'Veon Bell 10-3 in Week 18 while Fournette and Ronald Jones (ankle) were both sidelined.
The Eagles finished the regular season with the No. 17 run defense in numberFire's adjusted team rankings. Among the 50 running backs with at least 100 carries this season, Lenny averaged the sixth-most Rushing Net Expected Points per carry.
