Buccaneers' Leonard Fournette to have "solid" role against Saints in Week 1
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette will have a solid role against the New Orleans Saints in Week 1, according to head coach Bruce Arians.
Arians told reporters that Fournette is "a bright guy and he picked it up quickly today" while also mentioning that he "can't do everything, and it'll (his role) be situational". The exact breakdown of the Tampa Bay backfield between Fournette, Ronald Jones, and LeSean McCoy remains unknown, but the Bucs have plans for the former Jacksonville Jaguar to contribute right from the start. Our models expect Fournette to receive 12.2 touches in Week 1.
Fournette's Week 1 projection includes 40.8 rushing yards, 0.32 rushing touchdowns, and 8.4 FanDuel points.
