Cam Newton (foot) sheds boot, ruled out for Panthers in London
Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton has been ruled out for Week 6 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in London.
Newton will not join the team for the trip across the pond. However, he arrived to practice without a walking boot on Tuesday, setting up a potential return in Week 8 following the Panthers' Week 7 bye. Kyle Allen will make another start on Sunday against the Bucs.
Allen draws a Bucs' defense in Week 6 that is giving up the sixth-most FanDuel points per game to opposing quarterbacks (22.2).
