Fantasy Football: 4 Late-Round Tight Ends to Target

Zach Miller, coming off the board in the 14th round, played well last season and should be in line for steady volume. What other cheap tight ends profile as bargains?

At a onesie position like tight end, where standard leagues require you to start just one player, there isn't much of a need to take one early.

It's the same reasoning that applies to waiting to take your quarterback, another onesie spot.

Sure, Rob Gronkowski is a freak of nature, but an early pick spent on a tight end is an early pick that's not spent on a running back or receiver, the lifeblood of any good fantasy roster.

It's particularly beneficial to wait on tight ends this season as the position is a little deeper than it's been in recent years. In 2015, just 9 tight ends scored more than 100 points in standard formats. Our projections for this season -- which you can check out in our dope new draft kit app or our fully-customizable draft kit -- have 12 tight ends reaching the 100-point plateau.

Three of those tight ends are available in the 10th round or later, per average draft position data (ADP) on Fantasy Football Calculator, which will be the source of all ADP numbers in this piece.

Let's take a look at four late-round tight ends who may be able to give you good production.
