Notes:
22. DeSean Jackson - Jackson always feels perennially underrated by the fantasy community due to his reputation as a boom-or-bust option on a week-to-week basis. While it’s true that he probably thrives in bestball leagues, he still had a Reception NEP per target that would have ranked in the top-20 at the position if he had stayed healthy enough for just one more target in 2015. He had a lackluster 76.67 percent Reception Success Rate, but that was primarily due to his deep-threat usage; this home-run profile can either win you a week, or lose it for you.
23. Julian Edelman - There are good signs all around for the 2016 fortunes of Edelman, but beginning training camp on the active PUP/list for his foot surgeries does give pause. He ranked 36th in Reception NEP per target in 2015, which should be heartening, and was on-pace for 1,230 yards and 12 touchdowns. If healthy, quarterback Tom Brady’s suspension shouldn’t matter -- Edelman will get his and be a reliable short target once again.
26. Larry Fitzgerald - He might be getting old, but Fitzgerald is still an impressive player in a dominant offense. At age 32 last season, he ranked 50th in Reception NEP per target, befitting his new role working largely as a catch-and-run slot receiver, but had an impressive 74.66 percent catch rate, and regained a top-10 spot in wide receiver fantasy scoring. He’s talked about retirement, but we shouldn’t count Fitz out for at least one more year of production glory.
27. Jarvis Landry - Many people would look at Landry’s 167 targets from 2015 and be ridiculously impressed. I look at them and wonder why he wasn’t able to generate more than 82.26 Reception NEP all year on them. Landry’s 0.49 Reception NEP per target ranked sixth-worst among qualifying receivers in 2015, which means that he is not creating yardage or value on his own. If he loses any volume to DeVante Parker’s development or Kenny Stills, that could spell doom for the limited Landry.
