Dallas Cowboys

Dallas ended what was a nightmare 2015 season with Kellen Moore under center and Terrance Williams operating as the team’s top receiver.

So, yeah, things didn’t go as planned.

The Cowboys will be one of the league’s most improved offenses based solely on the injured players they’ll get back.

Injuries to Tony Romo and Dez Bryant derailed the Cowboys’ campaign and ruined their offense, as they finished the year ranked 29th in Adjusted NEP per play.

Not only will Dallas welcome Romo and Bryant back to the fold, but the Cowboys also added running back Ezekiel Elliott with the fourth overall pick in the NFL Draft. While the choice is a head-scratcher for a team with several other needs, Elliott is an extremely talented player.

One of the few bright spots for the offense in 2015 was the play of Darren McFadden. He averaged 4.6 yards per carry, and among backs with at least 100 rushes, he ranked 19th in Rushing NEP per play. McFadden is back for 2016 and will pair with Alfred Morris, a free-agent signing, to form a very capable backup duo behind Elliott.

Barring another injury-pocalypse, Dallas is going to have a much-improved unit in 2016.
