Sterling Shepard, WR, New York Giants

If you follow the work of NFL.com's Matt Harmon, then you're probably aware of his Reception Perception project that he continuously works on for wide receivers. His work on pass-catchers is widely recognized and incredibly thoughtful, and it's backed by some seriously-good past results.

This year's top wide receiver entering the draft according to Reception Perception was Sterling Shepard.

Combine that with his landing spot, and there's a case to be made that Shepard will be the top rookie wide receiver in fantasy football this season.

We know Eli Manning is an above-average passer in the league -- he ranked 11th in passing efficiency according to our numbers last year. That's certainly a plus for Shepard. But so is the fact that 90 targets left New York when Rueben Randle inked a deal with the Eagles, leaving Shepard's competition to a wide receiver who didn't even play football last year in Victor Cruz and a special teams guy in Dwayne Harris.

While Odell Beckham will demand a high market share in the Giants' offense, it's very possible for Shepard to see a good 15% of the team's targets in 2016. If that's the case, we're looking at him reaching close to 100 targets, which will make him plenty fantasy relevant.
