Karlos Williams

Karlos Williams has been the top add in this column on multiple occasions this season following separate injuries to LeSean McCoy. And in Week 15, the injury bug hit McCoy again, as he's reportedly dealing with a minor MCL sprain.

Williams has been good when given the rock this season. Like, really good. Williams' 0.23 Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) per rush ranks second in the entire NFL among running backs with at least 50 carries this season. For comparison, the average NFL running back over the past few seasons has sat at -0.02 Rushing NEP per rush. Yes, the average rusher has negatively contributed to their teams' point expectation because rushing is an inefficient way to transport the ball. Unless Karlos Williams is toting it.

Williams has also been a pretty competent receiver in limited opportunity, compiling an impressive 0.59 Reception NEP per target, good for 16th among running backs with at least 5 catches on the season. And with seven total touchdowns on the season (five rushing and two receiving), Williams has proven he can punch it in the end zone when given his chances.

If McCoy can't give it a go in Week 16, Williams will inherit a very juicy matchup against the 27th-ranked Cowboys' rushing defense, per our numbers. As such, he's the top waiver add of the week if you can get your hands on him.
