Alshon Jeffery, WR, Chicago Bears

After a three period where Alshon Jeffery totaled 28 catches and surpassed 100 yards in every contest, he fell back down to Earth with 3 catches for 23 yards against a stingy St. Louis pass defense. It appears he was also hampered by groin and shoulder injuries from which he will not have yet fully recovered in time for Sunday’s matchup with the Denver Broncos.

Regardless of where the Bears move Jeffery, Chris Harris, Aqib Talib, and Bradley Roby have all been great in coverage this season. They have contributed towards the Broncos’ top-ranked pass defense (-0.12 Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP per play). Jay Cutler may attempt to force the ball to Jeffery and supply target volume, but Jeffery’s ceiling is clearly capped.

Our 15th-ranked wide receiver this week, Jeffery is projected for 5.54 receptions, 71.90 yards, and 0.39 touchdowns.
