On Sunday against the Saints, Matt Jones once again flashed glimpses of why he just might be the Redskins best player in their backfield.

Going up against the league's worst overall defense -- but surprisingly a team that ranked ninth against the run according to our NEP metrics prior to this contest -- Jones torched the Saints for 56 yards on the ground on 11 carries and caught all 3 of his targets for 131 yards and a touchdown. All in all, according to numberfire Live, Jones accounted for 11.67 Total NEP on the day to help the Redskins blow out the Saints 47-14.

If Jones can keep this momentum going and build some consistency from this week's performance, he could once again earn the heavy touches he enjoyed early this season with the Redskins. And with his rare combination of size and agility making him a big play threat on every touch, Jones is a worthy add off your league's waiver wire this week as someone who could break out over the last seven weeks of the season.
