DeAngelo Williams, RB, Pittsburgh Steelers

Steelers play caller Todd Haley admitted earlier this year that he wanted to get tailback DeAngelo Williams a little more involved in the offense after Le'Veon Bell's backup managed just nine carries in the four contests since Bell's return from suspension.

Well, Todd Haley, be careful what you wish for. On Sunday, Bell was carted off after suffering what would later be revealed as a season-ending MCL injury against the Bengals, pushing Williams back into the Steelers lead back role

Despite his age and declining physical ability, Williams showed on Sunday that he still has enough left in the tank to fill in for Bell and help keep this offense moving in the ground game. Indeed, with Bell out for most of the game this Sunday, Williams collected 110 total yard on 13 touches. Perhaps an even better sign of things to come, his very efficient 0.20 Rushing NEP per attempt in this contest actually mirrors the number he had produced over the first two game's of the season in which he was able to rack up 204 yards on the ground on just 41 carries.

Williams' productivity as a starting tailback earlier this season coupled with the fact that the Steelers backfield now belongs to him makes him a priority add this week as one of the few starting running backs that can be found on league waiver wires at this point of the season.
