Stefon Diggs has filled in for an injured Charles Johnson the past two weeks, and after catching 13 of 19 targets for an impressive 216 receiving yards to lead the team over this time frame, it looks as if he isn't giving Johnson's job back anytime soon.

A team favorite in training camp thanks to his playmaking ability, Diggs is showing the team and the rest of the league he's more than just a preseason star.

On Sunday, the Vikings' rookie fifth-round draft pick torched the Chiefs 22nd-ranked pass defense for 7 receptions and 129 yards on 9 targets. Diggs' Week 6 performance was actually 83 yards more than Johnson has managed to collect all year long.

After being named the starter this week, Diggs showed that he could do even more if given the opportunity. His 1.31 Reception NEP per target this week nearly doubled the 0.65 mark he attained last week in his rookie debut.

And given Diggs' instant chemistry with second-year quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, and an impressive size-speed combination to go along with his fluid route running, Diggs may emerge as the team's number one option in the passing game sooner rather than later.
