Alex Okafor, Defensive End/Linebacker

Alex Okafor had a huge breakout in 2014, becoming one of the best players on a per-snap basis. The 2013 fourth-rounder had a per-snap efficiency of 0.161 fantasy points in the Cardinals’ sack-heavy defense last season, and he appears poised to improve on that number in this season’s campaign. In Week 1, against the New Orleans Saints, Okafor compiled 4.5 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 tackle for a loss, and 2 quarterback hits. He was a big-play machine, compiling 10.5 points in balanced scoring.

This week, he gets to go against the Indianapolis Colts, who are still reeling from the pounding they got at the hands of the Buffalo Bills. The Bills only racked up two sacks against Andrew Luck and company, but this offense is relying on an aging Andre Johnson and Frank Gore and an untested Donte Moncrief in order to thrive this week. Luck can make magic, but there should be opportunity for Okafor's brutal pass-rush skill set and versatile coverage ability to score some points.

Okafor is available in 92.1% of ESPN IDP leagues, and we project him for around 3.0 tackles, 1.0 sacks, and a total score of 5.55 balanced fantasy points in Week 2.
