DraftKings Daily Fantasy Football: Week 16 Punt Plays

Steven Jackson, RB, Atlanta Falcons

Steven Jackson ($3,600) is one of the few punt play options at running back that actually sees consistent volume on a weekly basis. He's only gotten less than 10 carries in just two games, and that was all the way back in Week 6 and 7. He's been the lead option in Atlanta all season long, and that won't change this week against New Orleans.

The Saints are definitely vulnerable against the run, ranking last per our metrics, and they've given up the third-most fantasy points to running backs. Jackson also has this funny tendency to score touchdowns every other week (he's done it now since Week 8), which means he's due for a trip back to the end zone this week.

In addition, Jackson has scored at least 13 fantasy points on DraftKings in three of the last four games. If you're looking for a punt option with a solid floor, Jackson could be your guy. His 8.88-point projection is the highest you'll see for someone this cheap. He's obviously the best threat to score in the red zone as well, as evidenced by his six touchdowns on the season. He really isn't showing any signs of slowing down either, which is impressive for the 31-year old veteran.
